Got Ice?

Brrr!  We definitely got a nice helping of the Midwest sleet storm.  7 1/2 inches of sleet.  SLEET!  Can you believe that?  It's just so bizarre.  I thought that once it gets so cold, you get snow and that's that.  Oh well.  At least Cameron gets to have fun playing in it  :)  We're definitely enjoying this extra time that we get to spend together, but I'm starting to get cabin fever!  Come on, grooming clients, why don't you want to dig your cars out of the sleet and ice just to bring you dogs to me for a grooming session?  Kidding.

Halloween Cuteness!

To my readers who follow both blogs:  Sorry for the cross-post!  I just can't get enough of this picture.  I got these pumpkins free from CVS on Monday and I'm glad because Camo just loves hauling them around and he's so darn cute while doing it!  :)

My Little Dude Thinks He's a REALLY Little Dude!

I wasn't able to catch a picture of this because he caught me, but it is so heartbreakingly funny!  I'll add one if I'm able to catch it later.  In the meantime, enjoy the "double blankie+passi=triple comfort" shot. 

Here's the story:

Little Dude LOVES to "drive," ok?  He'll grab any steering wheel he can get his hands on and delightfully scream "Vroom-Vroom!  Vroom-Vroom!"  It's actually a pretty big deal because he thinks he needs to drive Dada's work car anytime that he and Dada are near it, and he'll screeeeeeeeeeeam if he is not allowed to drive. 

He also loves those old red body/yellow top/pedal-with-your-feet cars, the steering wheel attachment from his stroller, and apparently the tiny steering wheels in his toy cars.  There lies the problem.  He'll beg Mama to open the little door of his toy dump truck and then he tries to get in the thing!  As soon as the door opens he gets his business face on and tries to stick his foot into that open door with every angle he has.  Ohhhh, I have to try so hard to conceal my "how cute" smile when he's heartbroken and screaming because he can't fit into the little truck.

This brings back a memory of my cousin's little girl.  She used to sit on the tiniest little toy toilet that I've ever seen.  It may have been two or three inches tall.  I thought she was just being funny, but perhaps she was actually being serious!  It's just something else for me to wonder about.  When is it that they develop their sense of relative size?  Hmmm.....  I'll enjoy the wait  :)

It's just so amazing to watch them learn and grow.  So amazing.  Every day.  I love being a Mama  :) 

Friday's adventures in Dudeland

What a silly boy!  Apparently I forgot to close the baby powder that I   used last night to keep my hands from slipping on my yoga mat.  Toddlers don't miss a thing, do they?!  I'll just call this another one of his works of art  :)

On the right we have a bonus nose-picker picture - just for fun.  He hasn't starting picking, yet.  He just stuck that finger in there for about 5 minutes and hummed.

Cookies in His Oatmeal

I spoil my little man rotten.  What can I say?  :)  This morning he got to eat bananas and little bits of chocolate chip "tuh'teeeees" in his oatmeal.  Am I a bad parent?  No way Jose!  I'm just a silly mommy who likes to treat her wee dude sometimes.  Hey, he's eating the stuff! 

(Besides, I have to get rid of those cookies before next week, because Hubby and I are going to start our diet/exercise regimen.  Ha!  Wish us luck with that one! )
